Admissions

Policy: St. Pius X School admits students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students.


Regulations: The guidelines of the Most Reverend Archbishop on school integration are followed. The state-mandated age requirements are followed: children must be age 5 on or before October 1st of the current school year for kindergarten admission; students must satisfactorily complete an accredited kindergarten program for first grade entrance. Pre-K students must be age 4 on or before October 1st of the current school year. If students must be turned away due to an excessive number of registrants, the following priority will be implemented:

  1. Siblings of current students, and children of teachers.
  2. Registered members of St. Pius X Parish; AND if necessary, parishioners will be accepted in accordance with their parish registration date(earlier dates receive priority)
  3. Catholic students whose families are registered in neighboring parishes
  4. Non-Catholic students

Students who are currently enrolled in the Pre-K and Kindergarten programs will receive registration priority for Kindergarten and 1st grade after parishoners. New transfer students will not be accepted for admission for the current school year after February 1st of that year, unless the family has recently moved to Louisville from out of town.
