On Tuesday, February 28,
2006, the First Grade will be
attending a production of Pinocchio at Derby Dinner
Playhouse.Permission slips and fee are
due no later than February 16th.Please let us know by this date if you are interested in being in the
chaperone lottery.
Big Buddies:
We have been meeting with
our Eighth Grade Big Buddies.We enjoyed
showing off our reading skills and shared some of our favorite books.They also assisted us in making Valentine
Cards for elderly patients at a nearby nursing home.
Social Studies/Science:
We have been studying
about Great Americans leaders during January and February in Social Studies
class. In Science our study of animals and their habitats plus food chains will
conclude by the end of the month.We
will then begin a study of the weather.
Valentine Party:
The children will make a
Valentine mailbag in the classroom.If
they want to give Valentines to their classmates, please have them sign their
names only and not address them to any particular friend.Please send them in on Tuesday, February 14th.The Valentine cards will be given out during
the party.
